PostSubject: What Makes Graphic Novels/Manga Appealing?   Mon Jan 22, 2018 1:35 am

Hello,
As the subject line says - what makes graphic novels and/or Manga appealing?

I've seen and heard of several young people and children enjoying them, but why do think that is? What makes this genre unique? And the question I've been toying with - is this genre good to use in the classroom to promote different genres?

Thanks

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

I can't really speak for graphic novels as a whole but I do enjoy manga quite a bit. My tastes in series is extremely varied, from action series like Soul Eater and Assassination Classroom to slice-of-life series like Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star. Japanese humor tends to differ quite a bit from humor in the West (I'm talking American and British for the most part), so not everyone will get it.
