Honestly, I just don't have the time to try and put this mod together anymore; I'm almost 24, in college, and have real life stuff that I put before this mod. However, I don't want all of the work that has been done on it go to waste and I don't want this mod to just rot in hell because I don't have the time to commit to putting it together and doing finishing touches. If any experienced modders want to take over this project I'll be happy to send you all of the files, because I do not want this project to die. If anything I can help with skinning and some other modding in my free time, but I cannot be the one trying to plan all of this out anymore. I honestly never really had the time to do it aside from the one year I took off from college and that was the year the rest of the modders were absent.

So, if any decently experienced modder (or anyone else who has contributed to this project) wants to take over the project I'd be happy to send the files to you. If no one want to or can take over it then I will release the current files and this project will be labeled as "beta".

You really should take out the beta. and it takes 4 years waiting and has been very patient, we understand that they wanted to do something unique for fans and your time has marked the line between the fate of the mod. But I think that they have already had a very complete job for some time. The right thing would be for the FCM beta to be taken out and to wait for a more experienced modder to take the call, even I could help with sounds, data editing, some skins and models, but I'm just getting started so I prefer not to take risks in something so big.

Yes a beta sounds very good idea, because we can't wait any longer for this mod to come out. It will include everything that you said, grasses, trees, sounds and more? Have you talk with FTK about environment megaspino?
Edit: Can FTK explain us how to fix the trees that he uploaded?

You gave it a really good shot, so thanks for trying to all of those that have been involved. Yeah, with the model processing tool opening possibilities up, that was going to stack even more workload on top of an already ambitious project seeing as several of the models would require somewhat of a makeover. Not to mention that JPOG isn't the easiest game to mod in the first place. A while back, I'd suggested that the most up-to-date work be released so as to keep interest for those that had been following this thing (because of a certain JW game nearing its release date). 4-5 years and many hours/days/weeks of your time shouldn't go to waste. I think that a 'beta' release is the way to go, with hopefully some contributions to follow.

I'm on Spring Break starting today so I'm going to dig the files out of my computer and start putting the beta together. At that point it will be released some time in the coming week. With the way modeling coming along (saw on Youtube someone managed to get Zilla in game) I sincerely hope someone will revamp or make some of the models once the beta is out (maybe I could even take a crack at some of them without any pressure). I will take the time to review each and every skin to check for any issues. I also have the Ultimasaurus model that was done a while ago that I'll try and actually finish the skin for to release along side this.

I'm not completely done from the modding scene though since I'd love to get into skinning again.

I'm going to put it out soon I just need to get the assets together so it'll take a few days. The good thing is I don't think JWE is going to halt any JPOG modding, so until break throughs are made there I'll still be looking to improve this mod. I still would like to find any modelers to help make some of the models though.

So here's the deal, I've actually decided I'm holding back on the beta. The reason being is a good one; I'm going to do my best to finish what has been started on my own. I have a whole 2 months before classes again and I have a lot of free time. A lot of things are going to have to be revamped because of a couple of developments. One big one is that I'm taking over modeling; I've lost most of Jmal's models and I can't reach him, so I'll be doing these from the base game models. They will all be scaled to the guest's size (no more 2 foot tall raptors or juvenile t.rex) and the models will be smoothed out and more detailed. Because of this, most skins will have to be edited to accommodate the new models. The sounds will be redone (I will be taking some sounds from JWE since they are clean and you can easily get rid of any ambient noise, therefore resulting in a higher quality) and I will refine the way they are added (in the beta there were too many generic sounds sacrificed). I'll also look into terrain and FTK gave me the latest version of his trees a while ago (I still have to show you guys them). To speed the process up a bit, I will be dropping the base JPOG dinos (they will not be touched until all of the canon stuff is done) and will be doing this mod in increments. A JP installment will be done first, then TLW, and then JP3 (JW dinos as well as I.rex are being scrapped until I can do a JW mod); at the end you'll have everything in one game (think of how the team behind RR released their work). Any unseen InGen dinos will be added at the end to increase the speed of delivery.

I sincerely apologize to all who have been waiting, but I've been busy and this community has been pretty dead despite the advances made in modding. It is these advances added with the disappointment of JWE that compels me to see this project through. I will update the first page shortly as it's horribly outdated and the links are broken.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd be open to hearing them!
