My JP:TG head canon is split:

- Miles Chadwick and Nima Cruz snuck onto the island as Biosyn's plan B but they didn't survive the night as they were both killed by the Dilophosaurus.
- Dr. Sorkin was on the island after Hammond and the others escaped and survived several days after with the intention of studying the animals in their natural habitat but she was killed in a stampede of the Parasauralophus.

- As TBO's face/mouth wasn't covered in blood it is possible that Muldoon may have survived the attack as it appears she didn't eat him and thus if he was found in time and his injuries treated he MAY have survived. Incredibly unlikely though.

Another one I posted on the old forum: JP:TG is told through the eyes of the survivors. That's why there are some minor inconsistencies with the films, like the amount of damage in the VC attack (the level of damage being exaggerated in memory) and Rexy lacking any wounds from her fight with The Big One (the survivors in The Game didn't witness the fight and wouldn't have known about it, and thus paid no notice to Rexy's wounds and forgot she had them).

Also, the firebombing didn't occur, though it was planned. Nima contacted her daughter, Atlanta, on the mainland and told her about the bombing, but rather than just admitting defeat, Atlanta spread the word to their Bribri neighbors and triggered a massive protest at the Costa Rican embassy. The Costa Rican government, under pressure from the protesters, told the U.S. Air Force to call off the bombing. As continuing with it in spite of Costa Rica's removal of permissions would constitute an act of international crime, Isla Nublar still technically being Costa Rican territory, the Air Force turned around and went home at the last minute. Atlanta is viewed as a hero of the Tun-Si tribe because of this.

Trespasser and JP:TG is canon. When Hammond wrote Jurassic Time, he confused the date. Island shape is just error from Trespasser producer team

Robert Muldoon often had discussions with Wu regarding the Dilophosaurus and demanding a report into the venom.

- A side effect from producing so many dinosaurs and them breeding without knowledge from the park in JP1 and indiscriminately in JP2 means there is plenty of baby dinosaurs as food for snakes. See the two obvious snake scenes in JP1 with the reticulated Python and the coral snake (milksnake) in JP2. They are eating all the small dinosaurs running round...65 million years of evolution has given snakes the edge

Ajay suffered a fate similar to Wu did in the novels. Laying there in the long grass, looking up at the night sky as two Raptors engaged in a tug of war over his intestines.

- The Spinosaurus was InGen's first attempt to create a hybrid theropod dinosaur that could be weaponized. But there was only one created by InGen and it born mentally defective and unstable, and held in captivity for much of it's life - hence why it pursued them so eagerly in JP3. Wu wrote it off as an "accident".

- In order to keep Isla Sorna an untouched dinosaur preserve, John Hammond had no choice but to agree to allow Simon Masrani (an old friend of his) to kickstart the new Jurassic Park project as he lay dying in 1997, otherwise a new exploition team would be launched and he would not be able to intervene again.

- The SS Venture crew was attacked by the TLW Pteranodons shortly after the Rex Buck was locked in the cargo hold, hence why there are slaughtered crew members all over the place. Said Pteranodons abandoned the ship and returned to their nests on Isla Sorna.

I like to imagine that the Jurassic Park series takes place in the same world where a lot of Spielberg's famous movies took place. In this world:
- there really was a great white shark incident in Amity Island, 1975. The sequels didn't happen.
- Two separate races of aliens visited Earth, and the second of this group accidentally left behind their son in suburban California. But due to their scarcity, they're still treated as an urban myth.
- Dr Grant is in fact a cousin to the Jones family of the 1930s.
- Almost every story about WWII (Schindler's List, Empire of the Sun and Saving Private Ryan) that Spielberg made also happened the JP universe.

Two weeks before the Jurassic Park incident, the InGen team on Sorna first identified that they had extracted contaminated DNA. During the fortnight the team, being led by Dr. Karina Da Silva (lead geneticist on the island when Wu is away), began to study the DNA and found it to be contaminated by a virus which has not been discovered before, a prehistoric virus which was called DX. In order to study how the virus effects it's host samples of the virus were placed into specimens on Sorna and were observed. DX turned out to be a form of rabies which causes neurological damage to its host causing abnormal amounts of aggression as well as rapid dehydration which is ultimately the cause of death of the host. Dr. Da Silva and her team study the virus months after the Jurassic Park incident. The InGen team fed infected meat to Compies, to study the methods of how the virus was transmitted. Due to a containment issue several of the Compies escaped in the lab and several of the team were bitten, including Dr. Da Silva. The virus reacted differently inside its human hosts, causing violent seizures, explosive vomiting etc. Within 48 hours of exposure to the virus, all human hosts died of total organ failure. InGen sent a specialist team to the lab (based in the north west of the island) in which all specimens of the virus and the carrying hosts were destroyed. The lab facility and the complex which surrounded it was closed permanently. 8 months later Isla Sorna was abandoned.

MIcroceratus with horns (from InGen tomorrow, today) is InGen's genetically modified Microceratus.
It's called Microceratus gobiensis "corniger". They've lived with Microceratus in Jurassic World's Cretaceous Crusie

- They have re-arranged the Raptor skeleton at the dig site, rather than dug it out of the ground readily in perfect shape.
- Whenever someone says Velociraptor, what they really mean is Utahraptor... so it's a metaphore  Laughing
- Mr DNA film is not meant for the tourists, but for high end PR guests. Or at the very least the Hammond bit at the beginning would be cut out from the finished version as he wouldn't be there all the time.
- The Dilophosaurus Nedry meets is a juvenile
- There are some other InGen staff members remaining in the island besides Arnold/Muldoon/Nedry when the ship leaves for mainland, though what happens to them is a mystery
- All the dinosaurs were created on Nublar
- None of the sequels happened. They are just standalone "stories" not related to the first film. If I HAD to though, I can "sort of" accept TLW and JP3, however not JW. JW is fanservice fan film that just happens to be in feature film form.
- JP: The Game never happened, and nor did any of the other expanded products/stories/licences

I'm of the group that considers the Dilophosaurus seen in the movie to be juvenile as well.

Also, now that you mention it, it actually makes sense for the Mr DNA film to be reserved for PR guests, since the room they were sitting in looked far too small to accommodate a gaggle tourists, including kids that would probably be bored by the behind-the-scenes aspect of the tour and would want to get back to the tour or other activities.

Well given that Jurassic Park seemed to be more like a safari resort for rich people (despite what Hammond says to Gennaro) rather than Disney World for masses, I don't really think space wise the room would have been too problematic. Though I'm not quite sure why anyone except perhaps corporate guests should see the control room on that tour when it starts rolling Razz

Oh and Grant can thank Billy for making it to the island, by that brat agreeing to meet Kirbys at the bar on Grant's behalf.

"Thanks a lot, idiot"

But I guess Grant really wanted that cash. That sweet sweet cash. And he didn't even get any. Only the hat Billy brought back. Thanks Billy and your stupid lucky bag.

I bet Billy started working as janitor in JW after Grant kicked his arse.

I've started wondering. Is there actually dialogue line or visual reference anywhere in JW that specifically says that the T-Rex and some of the other animals are the same ones from JP? Or is that all just Trevorrow and gang saying that in interviews and marketing, you know to enforce the nostalgia/fanservice/reference spectrum? Because if that's the case (?), it's not really official in-film canon isn't it? Not to me anyway.

It'd be the same as if Spielberg was saying something like, IDK, "I'd like to think Matt Hooper had a thing with Chief Brody's wife just like in the book, it's just not filmed".

Yes, it is indisputable since the only other predator on Nublar that was still alive since the original park debacle was the Dilophosaurus. And even a full grown one-20 ft long and 1,000 pounds, is no match for a 7 ton, 44 ft long alpha predator.

So because you couldnt tell if it was the same Rex as the first one "because of the CGI", even though the dinosaur looks malnourished as hell, it's not the same? Alright then.
